Natural
Fibers
Wool
Wool is resilient, is noted for luxury and softness, has high
bulk and is available in many colors. It's durable and retains
its appearance for years. Read more about wool
rugs here.
Synthetic
Fibers
Polypropylene
Polypropylene,
also called olefin, is a synthetic fiber. People choose polypropylene
rugs in areas with greater traffic, or in rooms where spills and
stains may occur. Strong and colorfast with a soft feel, it resists
wear and stains. It's also affordable. Most of our polypropylene
rugs are machine-woven.
Acrylic
Acrylic yarns offer some of the most exciting developments for
area rugs. Especially when blended with other fibers, they may
offer the appearance and feel of wool, with a deep thick pile,
but at a lower cost. Acrylic yarns generally have a high luster
and can hold bright colors. They are highly durable.
